DHORDO, kutch, gujarat, INDIA – For companies across the Middle East and North Africa planning a small team retreat or incentive trip this winter, Namak resort offers something different from a city hotel: a boutique tent resort near Dhordo, at the edge of the White rann of Kutch in Gujarat, India. The season runs from November 2026 to February 2027, and the resort is reached by air via Ahmedabad or Bhuj.
With only 21 stays, Namak suits groups who want to take over a quiet corner rather than share a large camp. The resort has ten premium tents, ten Super Premium Tents and one Darbari Suite, each finished in patterned canvas, timber furniture and warm textiles, with a sofa opposite the bed.
Rates are quoted per tent per night for two guests. Premium Tents start at Rs 8,500 plus GST and Super Premium Tents at Rs 10,500 plus GST, both with breakfast, hi-tea, dinner and an evening cultural programme. The Darbari Suite, at Rs 28,000 plus GST, includes all meals, priority check-in, and pickup, drop-off, sightseeing and transfers as per the confirmed itinerary. Planners can review the per-tent rates and seasonal surcharges before requesting dates.
The setting does much of the work. Teams can watch sunrise over the salt flats, drive the Road to Heaven causeway, climb to the viewpoint at Kala Dungar, and spend an afternoon with artisans in Hodka and Nirona, known for embroidery, Rogan painting and lacquer work. In the evenings, the Rann Utsav festival brings Kutchi music, food and craft to Dhordo.
“A small group can feel the whole place at once here, from the stillness of the salt in the morning to a shared dinner under a clear sky,” said the Namak team. “We keep the resort intimate so that every group has room to slow down.”
Full-moon nights and 18-31 December carry a seasonal surcharge and are the first dates to fill. Enquiries and bookings for groups can start on the plan your stay at Namak page.
