Following a double-points performance at the Season 12 London finale, the Nissan Formula E Team has officially concluded the GEN3 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The Japanese manufacturer now turns its full attention to the GEN4 era, reinforcing its pledge to long-term electrification through a commitment to the series until 2030 and a new multi-year technical partnership to supply powertrains to Andretti Formula E starting in Season 13.
Nissan Formula E Team secured points in both races during the final weekend of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Oliver Rowland scored in the two events across the weekend, while Norman Nato recorded a top 10 finish in Sunday’s season finale, bringing the campaign and the GEN3 era to a close.
The team enjoyed several highlights across Season 12, scoring six podium finishes and a memorable victory in Monaco. They conclude Season 12 sixth in the Teams’ Championship, <a href="https://menainsights.com/e-uae-launches-business-pro-ai-bundled-with-microsoft-copilot-at-no-additional-cost/”>with Oliver Rowland fourth in the Drivers’ standings and Norman Nato 19th, while Nissan claims fifth in the Manufacturers’ Championship.
The next chapter will see Nissan broaden its technical presence in the championship through a multi-year agreement to supply its Formula E GEN4 powertrain to Andretti Formula E from Season 13 onwards. The agreement brings together two of the most established and competitive organizations in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, creating a strong platform for technical collaboration throughout the series’ next era.
As one of Formula E’s longest-standing competitors, Andretti Formula E has consistently competed in front of the field, securing the 2023 FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship. Working alongside such an experienced and competitive customer team further strengthens Nissan’s position in the sport and commitment to the series as it enters its next chapter.

Formula E is a key pillar of Nissan’s global electrification strategy, making success in the championship an important part of the company’s long-term ambitions. Nissan Formula E Team will now focus on the final stages of development of its GEN4 challenger ahead of the start of Season 13. The championship’s next era will officially begin later this year, with the 2026/27 official pre-season testing in November.
