Beirut has always had a special relationship with art, a city where creativity, culture, and conversation continue to thrive. This week, that spirit takes center stage.
The inaugural ADAI Art Week Beirut has opened its doors at Arthaus Beirut, bringing together leading regional galleries and independent artists for a week celebrating contemporary MENA art.
ADAI, short for Art Data & Advisory Interface, is a digital platform and advisory ecosystem dedicated to the MENA art market, created to connect galleries, collectors, and institutions through a curated and trusted environment. ADAI aims to make discovering and engaging with MENA art more seamless, while creating meaningful connections across the region and beyond.
From September 7 to 13, Arthaus Beirut becomes a meeting point for the region’s creative community, with painting, sculpture, ceramics, and design coming together in a dialogue across borders, disciplines, and generations.
The participating galleries include Aramé Art Gallery, Artbooth Gallery, Art District Beirut, Art Scene Gallery, Ayyam Gallery, Galerie Cheriff Tabet, KAF Art Gallery, Kalim Bechara Art Gallery, Nicole Karam Maison d’Art Gallery, Mark Hachem Gallery, Maya Art Space Gallery, Nadine Fayad Art Gallery, The Gallerist Beirut, The Majlis Gallery, Urbanist Gallery, and Wadi 99 Gallery.
Alongside them, the exhibition features independent artists Dana Halwani, Faten Barghout, George Geara, Hady Beydoun, Joanne Najjar, Jonas Alsayed, Karine Hochar, Lamiss Akar, Louma Rabah, Magda Malkoun, Mahmoud Dayoub, Micheline Nohra, and Nassim Nasr.
As part of ADAI Art Week Beirut, a special talk will take place on September 11 at 6:30 PM, bringing together gallerist Saleh Barakat, auction specialist Valerie Arcache, and art consultant Jihad Mikhael for a conversation titled “After the Studio: The Life of an Art Piece Beyond the Artist’s Hands.”
The discussion will explore the journey of an artwork once it leaves the artist’s studio—how it enters the gallery and collector ecosystem, the role of collectors and cultural institutions in shaping its trajectory, and the ways in which an artwork’s significance, provenance, and market value can evolve over time. Moving beyond the moment of creation, the speakers will examine the different stages of an artwork’s life, from its first acquisition to its passage through collections and institutions, and consider the factors that contribute to how its value and meaning are understood and redefined over the years.
More than an exhibition, ADAI Art Week Beirut is a gathering—a chance to discover new perspectives, meet artists and galleries, connect with collectors and cultural figures, and experience the energy of Beirut’s art scene.
