LG Electronics (LG) successfully showcased its latest LG AI Home innovations at Urban October 2026, held from 5 to 8 October 2026 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The showcase was presented in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Sultanate of Oman, underscoring a shared commitment to advancing smart, sustainable, and future-ready living environments. Through this collaboration, visitors experienced LG’s cutting-edge AI-powered smart home solutions designed to enhance convenience, energy efficiency, connectivity, and modern urban lifestyles.
LG Electronics is participating in the event together with its authorized distributor, Oman Gulf Enterprises LLC (OGE), bringing innovative smart home technologies closer to customers, developers, and industry stakeholders across the Sultanate. Through the showcase, LG demonstrates how intelligent home technology can turn Oman’s ambitions for smart cities into smarter everyday living for residents.
As Oman accelerates the development of future cities and integrated residential communities, the home is central to the country’s urban transformation. LG’s participation supports the Ministry’s focus on adequate housing, liveable communities, and sustainable growth. It also reflects the important role of public-private collaboration in delivering homes that meet the needs of Omani families today and in the decades ahead.
Rather than a conventional product display, the LG AI Home is a fully furnished home that visitors can walk through, experiencing how LG’s connected appliances work together in real life. It has three zones:
A Smarter Kitchen for Every Day: The LG InstaView built-in oven, built-in induction hob and hood, built-in microwave oven, dishwasher and InstaView refrigerator show how intelligent appliances simplify cooking, cleaning and food management.
Smart Laundry. Better Living: The LG WashTower and LG Styler show a space-efficient approach to garment care, designed for modern homes.
Experience Every Moment: The living area pairs an LG Smart Televisions and Soundbar with an LG residential inverter air conditioner and LG Aero Alpha air purifier, combining immersive entertainment with a comfortable, healthy indoor environment.
The LG ThinQ <a href="https://menainsights.com/blend-opens-in-dubai-as-the-official-ticketing-platform-for-step-dubai-2027/”>platform connects the experience throughout. It lets residents monitor and control appliances remotely, receive smart notifications and optimise energy use. This is especially valuable in Oman’s climate, where efficient cooling plays a major role in household energy consumption.
The showcase brings LG’s global vision of the “Zero Labor Home” to Oman. In that vision, AI-powered appliances take on more of the burden of household chores, giving families more time for the moments that matter.
Young Hak Jeong, Managing Director, LG Gulf Electronics, said: “Oman is building the cities of the future, and homes sit at the heart of that vision. We are proud to support the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning at Urban October 2026 by showing what a truly intelligent home looks like, one that saves energy, saves time and adapts to the way Omani families live. The LG AI Home reflects our commitment to being a long-term partner in Oman’s journey towards Vision 2040.”
LG’s presence at Urban October 2026 builds on the company’s growing commitment to the Sultanate. This includes the opening of its Commercial Air Conditioning Showroom in Muscat in 2025. Through the AI Home, LG extends that commitment from commercial buildings into the homes and communities being built across Oman.
