Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), one of Dubai’s most pet-friendly neighbourhoods, has today announced its first (and furriest) Chief Dog Officer (CDO), Chase, a one-year-old English Cocker Spaniel.
Created as a fun way to celebrate JLT’s vibrant and pet-loving community, the Chief Dog Officer initiative invited residents and professionals who live or work in JLT to nominate their dogs for the new role. The response was overwhelming, with entries pouring in from across the neighbourhood, each sharing stories highlighting the meaningful role four-legged friends play in everyday life across the neighbourhood.
Following a review process conducted with community partners, Chase was selected for his playful personality and love for life. As Chief Dog Officer, his mission is simple: champion good behaviour, celebrate pet-friendly living, and bring tail-wagging charm to the neighbourhood.
Chase’s paws-on responsibilities include:
- Welcome new dogs and pet parents to the neighbourhood
- Encourage friendly and respectful behaviour in shared spaces, including the dog park
- Showcase JLT’s pet-friendly cafés, walking routes, and outdoor community spots
- Participate in neighbourhood gatherings and pet-friendly events
- Support and engage with local pet businesses across the community
To mark his appointment, Chase has received a custom-designed outfit by Max & Mia, the JLT-based pet boutique. Featuring JLT-inspired colours, the design reflects the neighbourhood’s identity. Max & Mia are known for crafting personality-led pet fashion, including seasonal collections for occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and Diwali.
Chase has also been awarded a one-year Gold Membership at Noble Veterinary Clinics, JLT, an AED 500 voucher from Pawsome Friends, an AED 200 voucher from Splendour Fields, and freshly prepared meats and treats from Furchild Pet Nutrition.
