Lavazza has announced the launch of “Family Blend,” a five-episode digital mini-series directed by filmmaker and actress Francesca Scorsese and starring Academy Award®-winning director Martin Scorsese, alongside special appearances by actor Jason Biggs. Premiered on 22 July 2026, the series transforms the everyday ritual of coffee into a cinematic journey, exploring the relationship between father and daughter through intimate conversations, shared memories, and moments of creativity set against some of New York City’s most iconic locations.
Created as an extension of Lavazza’s global communication platform, “Pleasure Makes Us Human,” the documentary-style series celebrates coffee as a universal ritual that brings people together across generations, cultures, and creative disciplines. Throughout the five episodes, the concept of “blend” evolves beyond coffee itself, becoming a metaphor for the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and artistic vision between Martin and Francesca Scorsese while highlighting Lavazza’s heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.
Filmed across meaningful New York locations including NYU’s Virtual Production Center, Elizabeth Street in Little Italy, and the historic Di Palo’s Fine Foods, each episode offers a unique glimpse into Martin Scorsese’s personal history while celebrating the connections between family, storytelling, heritage, and coffee. The series combines authentic documentary moments with cinematic comedy, creating an engaging and heartfelt narrative that reflects Lavazza’s commitment to culture and creativity.
The official trailer launched on 16 July, with the first episode premiering on 22 July. New episodes will be released monthly across Lavazza’s global digital channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
