    GFH REPORTS AN INCREASE OF 13.33% IN NET PROFIT ATTRIBUTABLE TO SHAREHOLDERS FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2026 TOTALING US$ 76.20 MILLION

    GFH Bank B.S.C (“GFH” or “the Bank”) (Bahrain Bourse: GFH) today announced its financial results for the second quarter (“the quarter”) and first six months of the year (“the period”) ended 30 June 2026.

    Net profit attributable to shareholders was US$ 41.09 million for the second quarter of the year compared to US$ 37.10 million in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 10.77% driven by strong growth in Wealth and Investment Management income and Credit and Financing income, which rose by 32.52% and 22.99%, respectively.

    Earnings per share for the second quarter were US cents 1.19 compared with US cents 1.06 in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 12.26%. Total comprehensive income attributable to shareholders was US$ 70.52 million for the second quarter of 2026 versus US$ 51.71 million in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 36.38%. Total income was US$ 158.82 million for the second quarter of the year compared with US$ 146.04 million in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 8.75%. Consolidated net profit for the second quarter was US$ 42.23 million compared with US$ 39.02 million in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 8.22%. Total expenses for the quarter were US$ 116.59 million compared with US$ 107.02 million in the prior-year period, an increase of 8.95%.

    The Bank reported net profit attributable to shareholders of US$ 76

    20 million for the first six months of the year compared with US$ 67.24 million in the same period of 2025, an increase of 13.33%. Earnings per share for the six-month period was US cents 2.21 compared to US cents 1.93 for the first half of 2025, an increase of 14.51%. Total comprehensive income attributable to shareholders was US$ 67.61 million for the first six months of the year compared with US$ 78.91 million in the same period in 2025, a decrease of 14.32%. Total income for the period was US$ 309.81 million, an increase of 4.40% from US$ 296.75 million year-on-year.  Consolidated net profit for the first six months of the year was US$ 76.57 million compared with US$ 69.72 million in the corresponding period of 2025, an increase of 9.83%. Total expenses for the six-month period were US$ 233.24 million compared with US$ 227.04 million in the same period of 2025, an increase of 2.73%. Total equity attributable to shareholders was US$ 1.01 billion at 30 June 2026 compared with US$ 1.02 billion at 31 December 2025, a drop of 1.31%. Total assets of the Bank were US$ 12.44 billion compared with US$ 12.20 billion at 31 December 2025, an increase of 1.97%.

    GFH currently manages assets and funds valued at approximately US$ 24 billion, including a global investment portfolio spanning the GCC, the United States of America and Europe, across sectors including industrial and logistics, healthcare, education, technology, infrastructure and real estate.

    Business Unit Highlights

    GFH delivered positive performance across its core business lines during Q2 and H1 2026, supported by strong momentum in Wealth and Investment Management and Credit and Financing, alongside disciplined management of its Treasury and Proprietary activities.

    Wealth & Investment Management:
    • Generated income of US$ 50.32 million in Q2 and US$ 132.83 million in H1 2026.
    • Signed an MoU with OCTO Management to develop a US$ 300 million logistics and industrial real estate platform across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
    • Expanded its industrial and logistics platform in Saudi Arabia through strategic partnership with Mawten Real Estate, focusing on high-quality assets across key markets in the Kingdom.
    • Participated as an anchor investor in the dual IPO of Pershing Square Inc. and Pershing Square USA on the New York Stock Exchange.
    • GFH Partners Ltd. agreed the sale of its majority-ownership stake in Student Quarters to The Scion Group, the <a href="https://menainsights.com/lg-electronics-invites-the-world-to-experience-innovation-in-tune-with-you-at-ifa-2026/”>world’s largest owner-operator of off-campus student housing.
    Credit & Financing Income:
    • Generated income of US$ 29.94 million in Q2 and US$ 69.91 million in H1 2026 driven by higher finance and underwriting income.
    • Net financing contracts reached US$ 2.64 billion as at 30 June 2026.
    • Maintained disciplined underwriting and prudent risk management while selectively deploying capital across financing opportunities aligned with the Bank’s risk and return objectives.
    Treasury & Proprietary Income:
    • Generated income of US$ 78.56 million in Q2 and US$ 107.07 million in H1 2026 supported by contributions from fixed-income and asset-liability management and trading activities.
    • Maintained a prudent approach to liquidity, risk management and capital preservation while selectively pursuing opportunities across the Bank’s regional and international portfolio.
    • Performance in Proprietary Investments was supported by gains realized from selected portfolio exits during the period.
    • Acquired a strategic, long-term exposure to Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: SPCX), known as SpaceX, through a structured transaction.

    ESG Highlights

    During Q2 2026, the Bank continued to advance its ESG strategy through initiatives focused on health and wellbeing, employee development, education, entrepreneurship and community welfare, including:

    • Promoted healthy and active lifestyles through the GFH XLR8 Night Run 2026, organised in partnership with the Bahrain Association of Banks and attracting nearly 1,000 participants.
    • Continued to advance employee learning and engagement through its internal “Minds at Work” programme, featuring knowledge-sharing sessions on customer experience, adaptability and other professional and organisational topics.
    • Supported youth entrepreneurship as a featured partner of the StartUp Bahrain University of Bahrain programme, which advanced 91 student-founded projects during its pilot phase.
    • Partnered with Alia National School to develop a new campus and launch GFH Alia National School, supporting a modern and inclusive educational environment.
