Sukoon Insurance has announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, delivering a strong performance across its core business lines and building on the positive momentum achieved at the start of the year. The results reflect continued growth in premiums, improved underwriting performance and stable investment returns, reinforcing the company’s position as one of the UAE’s leading insurers.
In the first six months of 2026, Sukoon reported Gross Written Premium of AED 3.8 billion, a 12% increase year-on-year. Insurance service results rose significantly to AED 241 million, up 68% compared to the same period last year, supported by disciplined underwriting and effective risk management. Investment income reached AED 160.2 million, an 11% increase year-on-year, reflecting the strength of the company’s income-focused investment portfolio.
Profit before tax increased to AED 302.8 million, representing a 39% year-on-year rise driven by improved underwriting performance and stable investment returns. Sukoon’s financial position remains strong, with total equity reaching AED 3.53 billion, a 5% increase year-to-date, with an exceptionally strong solvency position of 260% (minimum requirement of 100%), which underscores our unwavering commitment to policyholders. Sukoon maintains its A rating from Standard & Poor’s and A2 rating from Moody’s, reflecting its strong financial position and disciplined risk management.
