flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost airline, has hosted over 100 children for Iftars in Damascus during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Joining forces with the Children’s Rights Foundation, a leading non-profit organisation supporting disadvantaged youngsters, flyadeal’s sales team coordinated the social drive with the airline’s general sales agent in the country, Altahadi Travel.
The Bee Road Centre for girls and boys in the capital was turned into a festive mood with food, gifts and entertainment all combined to make it two memorable evenings for the youngsters and volunteers alike.
Mohamed Desouky, flyadeal’s Jeddah-based <a href="https://menainsights.com/mazagan-beach-golf-resort-earns-broad-international-recognition-across-global-hospitality-awards-in-202/”>International Sales Manager, said: “While many companies mark the occasion of Ramadan with corporate hospitality Iftars, at flyadeal we wanted to do something different. Supporting children truly proved a great touch with our colleagues in Syria who worked diligently to make the Iftar gatherings specifically for the young boys and girls, a great success.
“flyadeal launched operations from Riyadh and Jeddah to Damascus just a few months ago. Working with local communities is important and just one of the ways we like to engage in any country we operate in. In these challenging times, it was wonderful seeing the flyadeal team coming together to share moments of kindness, support and the warmth, radiance and positivity celebrating Iftar with the children.”
Akram Al-Ismaili, flyadeal Country Sales Manager Syria, added: “The Iftars were flyadeal’s way of giving back to the community. Sharing meals with so many children and seeing their smiles and laughter gave us a great sense of joy and pleasure. On behalf of flyadeal, I would like to thank the Children’s Rights Foundation for their tremendous support in helping put together two enjoyable evenings for the youngsters.”
Mohammad Hilal Al-Qatmani, Centre Director at the Children’s Rights Foundation, explained: “It was a great honour to welcome flyadeal to our Al Naha Road Project celebrating Ramadan Iftars with the young boys and girls. On behalf of the management of the Care Centre in Qudsaya, the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Rights Foundation, and of course the boys and girls we look after, I extend the deepest appreciation and gratitude to flyadeal.
“The generosity of the local management team is much appreciated and clearly reflects flyadeal’s care and support for children who have lost parental care in Syria, and the airline’s commitment to humanitarian principles and community initiatives.”
