Season 12 (2025/26) of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues with Rounds 4 and 5, taking place at the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit on 13 and 14 February 2026.
The first double-header of Season 12 (2025/26) is here, which will take place under the lights in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There’s a lot to look out for this weekend, with the highly-anticipated return of PIT BOOST, and the top five in the drivers’ standings separated by just seven points after three rounds.

51, Porsche Formula E Team, said: “I’m excited for the Jeddah E-Prix, a night race is always special. It’s a cool track, it suits the GEN3 Evo well. It’ll be the first PIT BOOST race of the season, which will make things challenging, having two completely different races. It also makes preparation more intense, because we’re preparing for two different scenarios. However, we have a strong base, the car and the team are performing well, and now it’s about optimising our package for this track and the conditions. We have full focus on scoring points and chasing that victory.”
PIT BOOST RETURNS
The Jeddah double-header will see the continuation of PIT BOOST for the 2026/26 Season, a revolutionary recharging technology that completely changes the strategy elements of racing. Only used in one race of the double-headers, this mandatory event sees drivers make a stop and receive a boost of energy during the middle of the race. From there, they are able to push harder with less emphasis on the need to manage energy levels which always leads to even more exciting racing.
How does PIT BOOST work in Formula E?
PIT BOOST is an innovative and mandatory mid-race feature that sees cars given a 10% energy increase (3.85kWh) through a 30-second, 600kW boost in the pit lane. It will be used during one of the two races across a double-header in Season 12.
All drivers must stop during the race for this extra energy, however each team is only provided one PIT BOOST rig which prevents them from doing any double-stacking. This will also create plenty of drama and excitement, as each competitor navigates an additional element of race strategy and could potentially alter race outcomes and tactics.
Drivers must take the PIT BOOST when their State of Charge (SoC) is below 60% and above 40% at the moment of the boost. The timing of this could vary from garage to garage depending on the strategy of consumption each driver has during the first phase of the race.
For this season, only one ATTACK MODE activation will be available during PIT BOOST races, which will last for 6 minutes.
RACING UNDER THE LIGHTS
In addition to the season’s first double-header event, the 2026 Jeddah E-Prix will return as a night race. Racing at night comes with lots of new things to think about compared to the usual daytime routine, including tyres and battery efficiency.
With sessions happening at night, track temperatures will be cooler than those experienced during the day, which certainly helps with the wear of the Hankook tyres. However, it can often be that drivers struggle to get the tyres to their optimal temperatures because of the cooler asphalt which leads to a lack of grip during crucial moments. As well as track temps, cooler air temperatures also help with the battery and make it more efficient.
EVO SESSIONS RETURNS IN JEDDAH
After the huge success of EVO Sessions last year, drawing in names like Brooklyn Beckham, Sergio Agüero and MrBeast, the event is back again this season. Announced during the broadcast of last month’s Miami E-Prix, the one-day extravaganza sees the world’s biggest creators get behind the wheel of the world’s fastest electric race car for the first time.
EVO Session marks the return of YouTube’s beloved racing collective, Senõr Frogs, led by TheBurntChip with Behzinga, WillNE, Arthur TV, Calfreezy and Izzy Hammond completing the team’s lineup. Team QuickStars will be captained by Vikkstar, with Khaby Lame, Max Klymenko, Stan Bruinick (Browney), Emelia Hartford and JUCA Viapri.
Taking place off the back of the double-header Formula E race weekend at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the spectacle will be available to stream live on YouTube on February 15.
ABB FIA FORMULA E CHAMPIONS SUSTAINABILITY AT THE 2026 JEDDAH E-PRIX

Waste Reduction and Circularity: The Jeddah E-Prix continues to encourage sustainability by reducing single-use plastics through free, venue wide hydration stations and promoting circularity by repurposing stored and rented furniture in both the Fan Village and hospitality spaces. Additionally supporting this will be an expanded on-site waste sorting facility, which will help recover more materials and divert them out of landfill.
Efficient and Renewable Energy Solutions: The Jeddah E-Prix will utilise B100 biofuel, capable of reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 60% compared to regular diesel. By integrating this with battery storage and grid power, the event maximises resource efficiency while reducing the logistical footprint of transporting fuel to the track.
FIA Girls on Track at the Jeddah Miami E-Prix
Reaffirming its commitment to education and gender inclusivity in motorsport, the FIA Girls on Track initiative for Season 12 is aiming to reach even more young women in every race market, supporting the growing demand of young women who are seeking opportunities and support to pursue careers in motorsport.
FIA Girls on Track activity for the 2026 Miami E-Prix includes:
- Hosting up to 120 young women for its FIA Girls on Track programme across the race week. Attendees will participate in workshops, gaming, career talks and a Pit Lane Walk, promoting empowerment and education in motorsport and engineering – while four participants will take part in the podium ceremony, placing young women visibly at the heart of the sport.
- The FIA Girls on Track programme is proudly supported by Hankook (Presenting Partner) and AutoLiv (Official Partner).
