WWE returns to Riyadh this Saturday 27th June for WWE Night of Champions, the <a href="https://menainsights.com/medcare-first-healthcare-provider-in-emea-to-adopt-intersystems-intellicare-a-<a href="https://menainsights.com/day-two-of-sbc-summit-tbilisi-to-examine-the-next-phase-of-growth-for-eastern-europe-and-central-asia/”>next-generation-native-ai-first-electronic-health-record-platform/”>first event in the Kingdom following January’s historic Royal Rumble, the first one staged outside North America. Held at the Kingdom Arena for the second year running, it promises an epic night of thrilling face-offs and dramatic storytelling.
The exhilarating night will see the crowning of new royalty in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals, with each winner earning a world championship match at SummerSlam. An exciting lineup of Superstars will bring the spectacle: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defends his title against Gunther and Sami Zayn in a Triple Threat Match, the United States Championship is on the line, and once-trusted allies Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins settle their grudge inside a Steel Cage.
The match card for this event includes:
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs
Gunther vs. Sami Zayn Cody Rhodes puts the Undisputed WWE Title on the line in a Triple Threat that traces back to Clash in Italy, where Rhodes beat Gunther in controversial fashion after the official missed The Ring General’s foot under the bottom rope.
Gunther was granted a rematch and chose Zayn as special guest referee, a pointed pick given Zayn’s growing resentment of his former friend. The rematch descended into chaos when Zayn turned on both men, costing Gunther the win and then laying out the pair, leaving Rhodes to demand a Triple Threat to settle it once and for all.
- Queen of the Ring Final – Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY
SKY reached the final by winning a first-round Fatal 4-Way and then beating Raquel Rodriguez, while Morgan, already a champion but chasing more, came through her own Fatal 4-Way before edging Charlotte Flair in the semifinals.
- King of the Ring Final – Oba Femi vs. Jey Uso
Oba Femi reached the final by topping a first-round Fatal 4-Way and then dominating Dominik Mysterio in the semifinals, looking near unstoppable after beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania earlier this year. Jey Uso, tasked by Roman Reigns with winning the crown unaided after The Bloodline’s reunion, came through his own Fatal 4-Way before grounding Je’Von Evans to set up the final.
Seth Rollins vs
Bron Breakker – Steel Cage Match Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker finally settle it one-on-one inside a Steel Cage. Once allies in The Vision, Breakker led the coup that forced Rollins out of his own faction back in October, and the betrayal has fuelled the feud ever since. Breakker reemerged at WrestleMania 42 to Spear Rollins and cost him his match against Gunther, then beat him again at Backlash with help from The Vision and Paul Heyman. Rollins hit back on the 1 June episode of Raw, but when The Vision then cost him his King of the Ring opener, he challenged Breakker to end it inside the cage.
A Steel Cage Match surrounds the ring with towering steel walls and no escape from the punishment inside. Victory is earned by climbing over the top, going through the door, or by pinfall or submission.
- WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill
Tiffany Stratton defends the Women’s United States Championship against Jade Cargill, two of SmackDown’s most dominant Superstars with real history. Cargill ended Stratton’s 301-day WWE Women’s Championship reign last November, and after losing that title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, she’s reignited the rivalry, pinning Stratton in a tag match on 5 June to earn this shot.
- United States Champion Trick Williams vs. Ricky Saints
Flanked by Lil Yachty since arriving on SmackDown, Trick Williams defends the United States Championship against Ricky Saints, having held the title since taking it from Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 42.
WWE Night of Champions takes place on Saturday 27th June and is scheduled to begin from 8PM (KSA) / 9PM (UAE). Watch WWE Night of Champions live across the region on Netflix.
