AliExpress has launched its Summer Sale in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, running from June 1-10 with selected deals of up to 80% off. Coinciding with a surge in demand for premium home tech and branded goods, the platform is expanding its Brand+ channel to offer more exciting authenticated global labels.
With optimized delivery speeds and local payment partnerships, AliExpress is enabling Saudi shoppers to secure premium upgrades at accessible prices this season.
Consumer Spending Trends Reflect Market Maturity
Recent consumer data from a YouGov survey commissioned by AliExpress shows the diversity of consumer priorities in the Kingdom. According to the survey, the top categories shoppers spent on in the last three months are jewelry and accessories, smartphones and tech, and automotives, indicating a strong confidence in purchasing high-value items online.
The data also reveals a balanced approach to online spending. While discretionary categories like jewelry and tech lead, essential categories such as groceries and home appliances remain robust. This mix demonstrates that online marketplaces are now integral to both daily household needs and lifestyle investments.
Built Around What Saudi Shoppers Value
Late last year, AliExpress officially launched Brand+, a dedicated channel that gives shoppers access to a wider selection of international brands with official product authentication. The Brand+ channel now features over 2,000 global brands across categories ranging from home and fitness to electronics, while maintaining competitive pricing on in-demand items.
For Saudi shoppers, Brand+ offers free shipping on orders over SAR 160 and free returns on eligible items for a smoother shopping <a href="https://menainsights.com/aster-dm-healthcare-and-gems-education-partner-to-provide-students-real-world-healthcare-experience-through-aster-discover/”>experience.
This enhancement of Brand+ aligns with recent YouGov data showing that more than 85% of surveyed consumers say recognizable brands are important, while 75% agree that a known brand name signals higher quality in key categories such as consumer electronics and home appliances.
Additionally, 72% of surveyed consumers agree AliExpress offers competitive prices and great savings, and 69% see the platform as reliable for delivery, returns, and customer service.
