<span data-olk-copy-source=”MessageBody”>Daniel’s Room, a new cafe? concept by internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, has opened at Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue, marking Arsham’s first venture into hospitality globally and positioning Dubai at the forefront of contemporary cultural dialogue.
Widely respected within the international art world, Arsham is known for his exploration of time, materiality, and cultural memory across sculpture, installation, architecture, and design. His work reimagines familiar objects as imagined archaeological relics, collapsing distinctions between past, present, and future. That philosophy informs Daniel’s Room, where atmosphere and intention shape the guest experience as much as the menu itself. Everything within the space, from the architectural details to the furniture and even the cutlery, has been designed by Arsham.
Over the last decade, Arsham’s work has been exhibited internationally at major institutions including the High Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Victoria, alongside large-scale public art commissions worldwide. His collaborations span leading cultural and luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co., Dior, and Porsche. Arsham is a graduate of The Cooper Union and lives and works in New York City.
The project is developed in partnership with Cura Concepts, the Dubai-based hospitality group behind several of the city’s established F&B destinations, including Trove and Boho X.
“Projects of this nature traditionally launch in cities like New York or Paris,” said Orkan Doganci, Founder of Cura Concepts.“Daniel choosing Dubai as the starting point reflects how the city has evolved culturally. Daniel’s Room contributes something more considered and concept-led to the city. This is not a project arriving years later from elsewhere; it begins here.”
Designed as a destination rather than a conventional cafe?, Daniel’s Room welcomes guests to enjoy specialty coffee, pastries, all-day breakfast and lunch in a meticulously curated environment. The concept reflects a broader shift in Dubai’s cultural landscape, one that places original, artist-led projects at its centre and positions the city as a place where meaningful global concepts are conceived. Fans of Arsham can expect special editions and exclusive drops, including items available only at Daniel’s Room, as well as a curated selection of Daniel Arsham art pieces, books, and more.
Daniel’s Room is now open at Dubai Mall, Fashion Avenue.
