- EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso to meet senior government officials, local and international partners

President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso, is to visit Tunisia from 15 to 16 January 2026 to meet senior government officials and clients from the public and private sectors.
During her visit, she will meet the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied; the Prime Minister, Sarra Zaafarani Zenzri; and the Minister of Economy and Planning and EBRD Governor Samir Abdelhafidh.
President Renaud-Basso will also meet international financial institutions and business partners.
Discussions will focus on common priorities, including unlocking economic opportunities through private-sector financing, supporting sustainable energy and infrastructure investments, and economic governance for state-owned enterprises.
She will also sign new EBRD investments and grant agreements provided by the European Union and other partners.
Odile Renaud-Basso said: “I am pleased to visit Tunisia to reaffirm our enduring partnership. We are committed to supporting economic growth that generates meaningful employment, especially for young people and vulnerable communities, while strengthening the private sector as a driver of opportunity. The EBRD President will be joined by Nodira Mansurova, Head of the EBRD’s Tunisia office, and a senior EBRD delegation.
Since the start of its operations in Tunisia in 2012, the EBRD has invested more than €3 billion in 89 projects across the country, with 65 per cent of that investment going to the private sector.
