Messika premieres a new My Twin Toi & Moi ring created exclusively for Lapérouse, the legendary Parisian restaurant where history and romance are etched in diamonds. An icon of Parisian art of living, Lapérouse has long been hailed for the discretion of its private salons, a candlelit world where romantic stories play out behind closed doors.
Within its private salons, legend has it mirrors were scratched with diamonds in the 19th century, as women tested the authenticity of the gems offered by their lovers, traces still visible today and inseparable from Lapérouse’s legend. It is this enduring bond with the diamond that Messika and Lapérouse choose to revisit today.
For the occasion, Messika unveils a new variation of its emblematic My Twin design, created exclusively for Lapérouse. Crafted in pink gold, the ring brings together two 0.60-carat diamonds, one pear cut and one emerald cut, set face to face in a contemporary interpretation of the Toi & Moi. Its romantic essence lies in the union of two contrasting shapes, each completing the other. Both stones are encircled by a halo of rubies, introducing a vivid chromatic tension that reflects the intensity of love. The piece embodies Messika’s vision of union through contrast. The ring also bears a dedicated engraving “Messika x Lapérouse,” sealing this special collaboration in gold and diamonds.
